Jon Carter is a Venture Partner at Playground Global, bringing decades of experience building high-performing leadership teams across the global technology landscape. As a Senior Partner at Egon Zehnder, he founded the firm’s Silicon Valley office and led its global Technology practice, advising companies ranging from Alphabet, Intel and Microsoft to high-growth startups on CEO and Board recruitment. With a background in computer science and business, Jon is passionate about innovation’s potential to drive positive change—and deeply aware of the leadership required to realize it. He has worked closely with founders and executives to shape organizations that leave a lasting impact. A global citizen and lifelong adventurer, Jon has motorcycled across deserts and through mountains on six continents. He holds degrees from Cambridge University and the Stanford GSB, and lives in Portola Valley with his wife and their French bulldog, Macron.
