Advisor
Victoria is an advisor to Playground, supporting technical due diligence on energy transition and decarbonization technology investment.
As a Climate & Energy lead at Science for America, a non-profit “solutions incubator,” Victoria focuses on identifying, developing, and launching technology-driven solutions to the most urgent climate and energy challenges. Prior to joining SfA, Victoria was part of the venture team at Playground, working on early-stage materials and decarbonization investments. She was previously a technologist with the strategic VC In-Q-Tel, where she identified and evaluated cutting-edge startups with high national security impact in the areas of manufacturing, electrification, and bioengineering. Prior to that, Victoria served as a Fellow at the Advanced Research Projects Agency – Energy (ARPA-E), an agency within the US Department of Energy. She is a former fellow of the Clean Energy Leadership Institute and Women Leaders in Energy Fellow at the Atlantic Council.
Victoria received her PhD in Materials Science from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) and BA in Chemistry from Harvard University.
When she is not busy evaluating new climate tech deals, Victoria enjoys oil painting and hosting killer murder mystery parties.
